Welcome to Berrow Benefice

Candlemas signifies the end of the Christmas season in the church year, which is why some Christians leave their Christmas decorations up until now.  Its a fascinating feast day, 40 days from Christmas Day, so do come along to our service this Sunday at 10.30am at Berrow Village Hall to find out more.  It will be set out cafe style with all of us sitting round tables, rather than in rows, setting the tone for a more interactive and informal service, with refreshments to follow.  The perfect service if you’ve not been to church in a while – or ever – and are looking to give it a go in a warm, inclusive environment.  Rev Julie has got lots of exciting activities in store, so do come along and join us this Sunday.

Do keep an eye on either the calendar on this web site, or our parish magazine, for up to the minute news on our service schedule, and any changes which may come about as a result of tightening Covid restrictions.  We are looking to introduce a new rota of services for February, increasing our offering to two services per Sunday – watch this space for more news on this.

We  continue to hold Phone Church services at 7pm every Friday – click here for details on how to join us.

More good news is that our churches are still able to be open for private prayer, so The Church of the Redeemer, Pendock Cross will be open Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm, and All Saints, Hollybush is now open from 9am to 5pm every day of the week.  And there are no longer any restrictions on the number of folk who may attend weddings, funerals or baptisms – apart from the capacity of each church building.  Do get in touch with Rev Julie in the first instance if you need help with planning any of these important life events.

Our Benefice covers the five parishes of Berrow, Pendock, Eldersfield, Birtsmorton and Hollybush that run along the south western-most boundary of the Diocese of Worcester.

Check out our Facebook page or the diary for upcoming services and events.
