Third Sunday of Easter, 18th April

We are delighted that the Bishop of Dudley, the Rt Revd Martin Gorick, will be joining us for worship at Eldersfield Church at our usual 11am service.  He will preach upon the readings set for the day, and we are very much looking forward to hearing what he has to say to us!  All are very welcome to come along.

Face coverings and social distancing remain mandatory, service sheets are available here in landscape format or here in portrait format.  Please print out your own service sheet and bring it along with you if at all possible.  Spare copies will be available on the day for those without printing facilities.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Morning Prayer 14th April

Whatever the weather – and it could be doing anything based on recent days – we’ll be here as usual on Phone Church via Zoom at 11am on Wednesday for Morning Prayer.  Come for the short said service of praise and thanksgiving, stay on afterwards for a virtual coffee and a catch up.  Your service sheet can be viewed or downloaded here, and all are very welcome.

Death of HRH Prince Philip

Our deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to Her Majesty the Queen and the whole royal family at the loss of a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  There is an online book of condolence available for signature here and the Church of England has issued the following prayer which you may also find helpful.

God of our lives,
we give thanks for the life of Prince Philip,
for his love of our country,
and for his devotion to duty.
We entrust him now to your love and mercy,
through our Redeemer Jesus Christ.

Easter Day, 4th April

Alleluia He is Risen!!  Come and celebrate the amazing good news of the resurrection with us at 10am at St Faith’s Berrow this Easter Sunday.  Your service sheet can be downloaded here and we very much look forward to welcoming you to join the celebrations – there might even be an Easter egg or two around the churchyard!

Good Friday, 2nd April

Our Good Friday meditation takes place on Phone Church via Zoom at 3pm on this most solemn day in the calendar of the Church.  Here we confront the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus to save us from our sins, here we look upon the cross and weep for ourselves and for our world.  Thank God that we know that Easter Day is just around the corner.

Your service sheet can be viewed or downloaded here in landscape format or here in portrait format, and the slideshow for those on the phone can be viewed here.
