Weddings

Welcome to our page of wedding information for couples marrying with us here in Berrow Benefice.  Its wonderful to have the roadmap which sets out the dates on which we are able to begin marrying couples and with how many in attendance as follows;

As of Monday 8th March weddings can take place with 6 people total in the building under any circumstances (currently have to be exceptional circumstances)

No earlier than Monday 12th April, weddings can take place with up to 15 people present

No earlier than Monday 17th May, weddings can take place with up to 30 people present

No earlier than Monday 21st June, there will be no legal limit on the number of people who can attend weddings.

All of the above are contingent on the Government’s four tests being met, so the dates aren’t written in stone, but at least it gives all of you something to work with.  Once you’ve thought through how all this applies to your situation, do get in touch with Rev Julie or Rev Anthea and let us know what you’ve decided to do.

Meanwhile, a document containing lots of lovely information for you on planning your big day – music, hymns, readings, the legal bits and costs – can be viewed below or downloaded here.  And we’ve done a short video of the interior of the Church which can be viewed on our Facebook page here – Video of Birtsmorton Church interior.

The most important piece of advice we can give you at the moment is to start attending services with us early, if you do need to establish a qualifying connection – and most of our couples do – so that you’ve built up a bank of attendance pending future lockdowns.  Keep an eye on the calendar on this website and our Facebook page for updates on services – or drop your officiating minister or benefice administrator a quick email.

All good wishes for your futures together and we look forward to playing our part to ensure you have a wonderful wedding day.
